Drink and Drug Driving

Hello all

I shouldn't have to be posting this message as we all know that drink and drug driving is totally unacceptable for which there is no excuse.

However, there are a minority of drivers that still do especially around this time of year as we approach the Christmas period and these selfish drivers/riders put everyone else at substantial risk by doing so.

If you choose to drink/drug drive and are stopped by the police for whatever reason or are involved in a Road Traffic Collision and you fail the roadside breath test and/or the roadside drug test, you will be arrested and taken to custody.

It is also all of our responsibility not to allow yourself to be a passenger in a vehicle when you know or even suspect that the driver is under the influence of drink and/or drugs and should do what you can to prevent that person from driving without putting yourself in danger, whether that's taking possession of the keys etc or just ringing the police.
